Richard S. Fernandez, 84, of San Jose, Calif., formerly of Maili, an Air Force civil service retiree and an Army veteran, died in San Jose. He was born in Aiea. He is survived by sons Arthur and Patrick Alcisto, and Marcus and Mike Fernandez; daughters Cindy Kerrigan, Roslyn Alcisto and Mitch Wilson; sister Dolores Drone; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Celebration of life to follow at Pililaau Army Recreation Center, Waianae. No flowers.
