Erma Leialoha Hennessey Lau

ERMA LEIALOHA HENNESSEY LAU Of Mtn. View, CA, born Jan. 11, 1933, in Honolulu, HI, passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, surrounded by family. The youngest of 6 children of Elizabeth Ha’aheo & Thomas Hennessey, she grew up in Kaimuki. She graduated from St. Andrew’s Priory School, HI, & then the College of San Mateo, CA. She married Donald T.F. Lau on June 11, 1966, in HI before relocating to CA, where she worked at Annual Reviews for over 25 yrs. Family was the one thing that mattered most to Erma. She was a loyal fan (vocal too) at her children’s & grandchildren’s sporting events & was a 49er faithful. She enjoyed listening to Hawaiian music & dancing the hula, for fun & in competition. She is survived by her husband Don; children, Guy, Lori Castaneda, Ginger Ramirez (Chris), Liesl Guting (Albert), Deanna Lau; granddaughters Victoria Lau, Deanna & Mariah Ramirez, Elizabeth & Rebecca Guting; great-grandson Lucien, and sister Lorrine Stupplebeen. A celebration of Erma’s life will be held on Fri., Feb. 18 at 11:30am, viewing begins at 10:30am, Diamond Head Memorial Park, 529 18th Avenue, Honolulu. Family requests you wear Aloha attire.
