SAMPSON K. KAAWA, SR.

Age 68, of Waianae, Hawaii, passed away January 23, 2011 in Waianae. Born October 31, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a retired bus driver from Oahu Transit Service “Da Bus” and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by wife, Annie Kaawa; sons, Sampson (Raylene) Kaawa, Jr., James (Kalei) Kaawa, Malcolm (Charmaine) Kaawa; daughters, Bernadine (James) McShane, Belinda (Newton) Palakiko, Sr, Sherldeen (Eugene) Silva; hanai children, Charrel & Robert Yacapin; step-children, Carlson, Charles and Cheryl Yacapin; 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Delbert of Maui, Albert of Maui, George (Barbara-Jean), Aaron; sisters, Eloise (Bernard) Goshert, Miriam Gutowski, Isabella Kaawa, Mary-Jean Kepaa, Ruth (James) Harper.

Visitation 5:30 p.m. Friday (February 18) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; Service 6:30 p.m. Aloha Attire. Flowers Welcome.
