Samuel Aalona Kaopua Pomaikai, 90, of Corvallis, Ore., a retired ammunitions inspector in Lualualei, West Loch and Waikele, and retired pastor, fisherman and carpenter, died in Corvallis. He was born in Puna, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Samuel Jr., Paul “Kaipo” Sr., Moses, Princeton and Matthew; daughters Jo-Ann Isomura, Mae and Laverne Leslie, Faith Kanui and Shantel Schmidt; sisters Mary “Maka” Lee and Loretta White; 47 grandchildren; and 75 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Sunday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Monday at the chapel. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Nanakuli Homestead Cemetery. Casual attire.
