George Makaipo Jr., 86, of Ewa Beach, a retired Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Kapahulu. He is survived by son Lloyd, brother David, sisters Elizabeth Akiona and Leilani Nakamura, and three grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 6:30 p.m. Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire.
