CHRISTOPHER FAHEY BLACK

Age 62, died February 16th in Kealakekua, Kona. Born in Virginia, he attended Sidwell Friends School, Washington, D.C., Punahou School and the Universities of Tasmania and Melbourne, Australia. A former employee of Berlingeri corp., Thailand, Chris traveled extensively in Asia and upon returning to Honolulu owned and operated “Spirit House Antiques” in Kilohana Square. He also worked for the original Hawaii Five-O TV series and later moved to the Big Island where he was employed by the Hemmeter Company on the construction of the Hilton Waikaloa. Chris also received an Outdoor Circle award for outstanding condominium landscaping. He was living on the Ackerman Ranch in Kona at the time of his death.

Beloved by his family and friends, Chris was the son of Brigadier General Edwin F. Black and Cobey Black, he is survived by his mother and his son Cameron, two sisters, Star Black and Noel Ackerman, and three brothers Nicholas, Brian and Bruce Black. Funeral services are pending.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by the American Cancer Society, 75-5995 Kuakini Hwy, Suite 443, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740.
