Serafina Ufano Barsatan, also known as “Saping” and “Inang,” 88, of Kapehu, Hawaii, a retired field worker for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., died at home. She was born in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She is survived by daughters Encarnacion “Sioning” Datuin and Juanita “Lani” Valdez, sister Pricilla Umnas, six grandchildren and 16 great-grand- children. Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Laupahoehoe. Mass: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Section K. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
