Mitsuo "Battleship" Yakuma, 89, of Aiea, a retired carpenter and Army veteran, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Yukie, son Glenn, daughter Nora Barboza, sister Yoshiko Kaisen, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Private services.
