FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

MICHAEL SCOTT
MICHAEL SCOTT Michael Scott was born May 9, 1925 in Long Beach, California, and passed away February 28, 2011 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the younger son of the late Rear Admiral Norman Scott and Marjorie Guild Scott Edwards. As a Navy family they traveled abroad extensively. Michael was educated in the United States, graduating from Brooks School in 1944 and Yale University in 1948. He joined the Navy after graduating from Yale and was active until the end of World War II. He lived for many years on the East Coast, where he taught school. After retiring from teaching, he divided his time between Honolulu and Santa Barbara. Michael is survived by two nieces, Martha Mouer of California, and Pamela Volkmann of Montana, and a nephew, Toby Scott of Oregon, as well as five grand nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. He is also survived by his good friend Jose Lopes De Almeida. His brother, Norman Scott Jr., preceded him in death. The family asks that donations be sent to The Scholarship Foundation in Santa Barbara and directed to the Michael Scott Scholarship Fund, or to the Brooks School in Andover, Massachusetts in Michael's name. At his request, there will be no services.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
