The devoted couple were married for fifty-two years until Arman’s passing in 1993. As an Army Officer’s wife, Bee lived many places before retiring in Hawaii. While in Hawaii she owned Ceramics by Bee, and made and sold Hawaiian motif angels through Liberty House and the Cathedral Gift Shop in Ala Moana Center. In 1989 she moved to Salem, Oregon where she began her quilting career in earnest, winning many awards and displaying her creations at quilting shows in and around Salem.

Bee had a deep faith for Jesus Christ. Her walk with Christ was an inspiration to many. She was a fundamentally good person with humble beginnings having survived the Great American Depression without losing her belief in the American Dream through hard work, discipline, effort, and creativity. Her ethics never wavered.
