Hitoshi Sakuma, 87, of Honolulu, a retired Army sergent and a retired maintenance foreman for the state Capitol, died. He was born in Keahua, Maui. He is survived by wife Asako; sons Melvin K. and Rodney H.; daughters Keiko Sakuma-Neubauer, Florence Yamashita and Jane Sakuma Wong; brother Haruo; sisters Lily Miyamoto, Kiyoe Kumasaka, Matsue Inokuma, Harue Yokote, Yatsue Iwatake and Yurino Sugiki; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 1 p.m. Monday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 2 p.m. Aloha attire.
