William Hideo Kaya, 88, of Punaluu, a retired store owner and proprietor, and an Army staff sergeant with the 100th Battalion, died in Punaluu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Wilfred, daughters Beverly Hashimoto and Geraldine Harada, brother Albert, sisters Sarah Sueoka and Dora Sapiro, and three grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. Saturday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Services: 5 p.m.
