ALICE AKIMI HANNA
Was born November 25, 1926 in Kauai, grew up on Kekaha Mauka/Hukipo, and passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2011 in Huntington Beach, CA at the age of 84 from pulmonary fibrosis. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. An avid crossword puzzle solver with love for her garden, Alice was a petite woman with a huge spirit and generous heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kiyoto & Takuichi Nakano and sister Shigemi. She is survived by her beloved husband James A. Hanna, son James B, his wife Colleen, daughter Lisa Hanna, her son Cris, daughter Ren Hanami and sister Janet Senaha. A private memorial will be held at her home on April 3. In lieu of flowers she would have preferred donations made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (888-733-6741).
