Martin B. “Sam” Sampaga Jr., 77, of Picayune, Miss., an Army veteran who served in the Korean War and a retired pipe fitter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Shop 56, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Carl W.; daughters Journet L. Napeahi, Raynette D. Bantolina and April M. Rapez; brother Crispino; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Leeward Church, at the old Safeway in Waipahu. Services: 10 a.m. Burial at a later date.
