Modesto Fernandez “Grandpa†Bio, 91, of Captain Cook, Hawaii, a Philippine Army veteran who served during World War II, a retired sugar cane plantation foreman and coffee farmer, died in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He was born in Banguit, Abra, Philippines. He is survived by wife Marcela; sons Victorino and Albert; daughters Ina Rego and Kathi Bio; brothers Pedro, Carpo and Ernesto; sister Magdalena Quiocho; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private services.
