Haruo "Richard" Sakuma, 75, of Kailua, a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Makawao, Maui. He is survived by wife Yoshiko; daughters Harriet Yoshida and Gail Nakayama; hanai brother Kazuto Shishido; sisters Lily Miyamoto, Kiyoe Kumasaka, Matsue Inokuma, Harue Yokote, Yatsue Iwatake and Yurino Sugiki; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services at noon. Aloha attire. No flowers.
