Candido Homowan Tagalog, 76, of Waipahu, an Air Force retiree and a Waipahu Recreation Center lifeguard, died in Aiea. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by wife Gloria E.; sons James P., Marcos E., Tilden M., Glen D., Matthias E. and Dominick E.; daughters Cindy Ann T. Nieves and Brenda L. Gonzalez; brother Simplicio; sister Loretta Shinozawa; 23 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 11:30 a.m. Committal service: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
