Flaviano Billaber Alcain
March 29, 2011 Flaviano Billaber “Dong” Alcain, 79, of Keei Mauka, Hawaii, a carpenter, state Department of Interior archaeological excavator and baker’s assistant at Standard Bakery, died at home. He was born in Wailapa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Abelina Acol; sons Edmund F., Leonard and Douglas; daughters Verena and Evanelle Grace, and Freida Smith; brothers Roger, Gregorio, Benjamin and Andres; sisters Rosalina Miller, Philomena Arnise, Lucina Alcain, Norma Duterte and Andrea Vanderhook; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. tomorrow at St. John’s Catholic Church, Kealakekua. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at the church. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park.
