James Takanobu Miyamoto, 87, of Honolulu, a retired federal government quality assurance inspector at Fort Shafter and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Makawao, Maui. He is survived by wife Peggy, daughters Patricia Hartman and Gayle Miyamoto, sister Ann Yuasa, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services.
