Osamu “Shibo†Shimana, 92, of Hilo, formerly of Honolulu, a Hawaiian Electric Co. retiree and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pahoa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Shizue; daughters Ann Sato and June Shimana; brothers Satoru, Susumu and Takeshi; sisters Setsuko Takemoto, Junko Shimana, Yooko Reiche and Sumi Tachibana; and two grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
