80Sheila Chitose Viela, 81, of Wailua Homestead, Kauai, formerly of Kahului, a retired matron of the Juvenile Detention Center on Maui, died at home. She was born in Kahului. She is survived by husband Joseph L. Jr., daughters Sharlene Shimamoto and Ione Brown, brothers Charles and Harold Oda, sisters Sachiko Carroll and Fusako Rodrigues, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services.
