EDWARD PETER ANDERSON, III "BUD"
EDWARD PETER ANDERSON, III "BUD" 93 passed away in McLean, Virginia on Monday, February 21, 2011 from complications from congestive heart failure. He was born in Norfolk, Va. and traveled all over the world with the Navy in World War II. As Chief Warrant Officer he lived in Honolulu for 50 years. He was awarded 5 medals for his serve in battle, one of them a purple heart. After retiring from the Navy in 1959 in Honolulu, he bought a business that did general contracting and land development; working much with sugar mills in the Hawaiian Islands. He loved to golf, run marathons and travel. His wife Penny of 47 years passed away in 2007. He is survived by his daughter Maggie Anderson Sheedy, her husband Thomas Sheedy and their children. He is also survived by his brother Francis Anderson age 92, Fran's wife Marge Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 3:00pm with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, Va.
