William K.C. Akina, 85, of Chula Vista, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and a state Harbor Patrol retiree, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Marian L.; sons Dr. William "Keli'i," David "Ikaika" and Stephen "Kinilau"; daughters Patricia "Keikiolani" Furtado and Stephanie "Maile" Colston; sisters Alice Stone, Margaret Contento, Agnes and Evangeline "Lei" Akina, and Virginia Thames; and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Wednesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Rosary: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Kaheka Street.
