78Joan H. Mersberg, 89, of Waianae, a homemaker, died in Ewa Beach. She was born in Kaneohe. She is survived by sons Samuel Pa‘e and Richard; daughters Joan Amendariz, Majorie Mielke, Daisy Pletcher, Charlotte Evans, Faye Smith and Joann K. Mersberg; sister Lily Galdeira; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
