76Jean F. Tanaka, 79, of Kahului, a retired state Department of Education teacher and librarian, died in Kahului. She was born in Puunene, Maui. She is survived by daughter Sharlene, sisters Jane Yamashiroya and Joan Yonemitsu, and two grandchildren. Private services.
