ETHEL Y.M. (PANG) YOUNG

Ethel, 89, died on May 1, 2011 in San Francisco after a brief illness and surrounded by family. She was born on June 8, 1921 in Honolulu to Hoon Chong and Emma Kam Lin Pang. She is the oldest daughter of 8 children and survived by two sisters.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D.C. Young. She is survived by one son, three daughters, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She left all her family in Hawaii, following her husband to own and operate New Fair Market in San Francisco. She and her husband were the corner stone on which the children were able to succeed.

The Funeral Service on May 22, 2011, Sunday at 10:00am with visitation from 9:00-9:45am at the Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea St.

A private burial will be at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to “Self-Help for the Elderly”, 408 – 22nd Avenue, San Francisco, CA, 94121.
