HIRAM KAPU “BIG HEAD” KAMANA

Age 72, of Waianae, HI, passed away April 16, 2011 in Aiea, HI. Born January 18, 1939 in Kaneohe, Oahu. A Hawaiian kumu of Mauka to Makai.

He is survived by sons, Shane (Raynette) Kamana, Hiram (Earlyn) Kamana Jr., Walter Kamana; hanai son, Paul Zoller of Seattle; daughters, Tammy Kapiolani (Anthony) Yeager, Thomasine “Sina” (Leroy) Kamana, Leihua (Siva) Savini; sisters, Florence Lei Barrozo, Donna Mae (George) Gaspar; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation 5:30 p.m. Friday (May 27) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Wake Service 6:30 p.m. Visitation also 8:30 a.m. Saturday (May 28) at Nanaikapono Protestant Church (89-235 Pua Avenue, Waianae) Funeral Service 9:30 a.m. Burial 12:00 noon at Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead. Paina Saturday 2:00 p.m. at Nanakuli Beach Park. Casual Attire. Flowers Welcome.
