Albert Fairchild Saijo, 85, of Volcano, Hawaii, an Army veteran with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Battalion, who served in Italy, died at home. He also was a designer, carpenter, woodworker, poet and author of “Outspeaks: A Rhapsody.” He was born in Los Angeles. He is survived by wife Laura, sister Hisayo and four stepchildren. Private services.
