71John "Kuhina" Kaaumoana, 72, of Hanapepe, Kauai, formerly of Niihau, a Niihau Ranch cowboy, died at home. He was born in Puuwai, Niihau. He is survived by wife Kuulei; son Gordon; daughters Marian Beniamina, Dorothy Kaliloa and Geraldine Kanahele; hanai son June; hanai daughter Leialoha Kaliloa; brothers George and Bernard Kamala; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary. Services: 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Casual attire.
