80Christine Gates, 96, of Honolulu, a U.S. government retiree, died in Honolulu. She was born in Petersburg, Tenn. She is survived by sons Ronald T. and Donald L., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private services. Donations may be made to the Hawaiian Humane Society.
