ART AND SHERYL TAKABAYASHI
Art and Sheryl Takabayashi lived together and left together, suddenly, in a auto accident on July 2, 2011 in Makawao. Mom and Dad you will truly be missed but thank you for choosing Jesus.
Art (aka) "Kaai"was born August 16, 1942 to Wilfred and Anne Takabayashi. He grew up in Kaneohe attended St. Ann's School & graduated from St. Louis High School.
He served in the US Coast Guard, and worked for Hawaiian Electric. He relocated to Maui Electric in January of 1977 where he retired after 37 years of service. He later worked for Roberts Hawaii and was currently employed with Kamehameha Schools.
Art enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, caring for his chickens, going to Las Vegas and especially entertaining and cooking for his family and friends.
Joint services were held in Maui on Friday 7/15/11 for both Art and Sheryl. Services for Art will be held in Honolulu on Thursday 7/21/11 at Hawaiian Memorial Park from 5:00-9:00pm.
He is survived by his sons; Arthur (Marj) and Vernon (Roxanne) Takabayashi of Honolulu, Ryan (Tina) and Randy (Tara) Eugenio of Maui and daughter Valarie Takabayashi Foo (Randy) of Dallas, Texas, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Brother Wilfred M Takabayashi (Irma) and sister Martha Chung (Leroy) several nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins.
