79Herbert Masami Hayashi, 82, of Hawi, Hawaii, a state Department of Transportation Airports Division retiree, died in Life Care Center of Kona. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Hatsue T.; son Jay; daughters Phyllis and Sharon; brothers Walter, Kenneth, Donald and Robert; sister Jeanette Ajimura; and a grandchild. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, Kohala. Services: 10 a.m. Urn committal services to be held at a later date. Casual attire. No flowers.
