Hugo Damien Book, age 83, of Honolulu, Oahu, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He was born on December 9, 1928, in Lahaina, Maui. Hugo was a graduate of St. Anthony, a private Roman Catholic High School, in Wailuku, Maui. He was beloved by family and friends. Survived by sister, Amy Burwell, of Cincinnati, Ohio, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Hugo is preceded by brothers: Sweeney Akina Asiu, Walter Bismark Book, Frederick "Freddy" Book, William "Billy" Edward Book, Caesar William "Kanae" Book, Carl "Kale" Book and William "Sonny" Book Maxwell; and a sister, Elodia Hooipo Asiu San Diego. Graveside service will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe, Calvary Section, at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011. Casual attire.
