JULIA Y. S. JHUN REZENTES
Age 91 was born to Bong Kee Jhun and Mary Santiago on August 22, 1919 in Waikane, Oahu and passed away on July 11, 2011.
She is one of 21 siblings. Although a retired switchboard operator, her true vocation in life was caring for the needs of her family. Julia experienced life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, reading, singing, dancing, church concerts and musicals. Devoted and dedicated to God, Julia showed God's love to everyone. She didn't believe in wordly treasures, as her treasures lay in memories and moments with her family.
She will be forever remembered by her beloved children Josephine F. Yamanaka (Dennis), Judith A. Carvalho, Manuel E. Faustina (Marlene), Edwina M. Yamada, Gloria B. Resmundo (Thomas), Cynthia L. Ornellas (deceased), Minnie R. Bicoy; and Joseph P. Faustina (Trina); siblings, Gertrude LeBron, Peter Jhun (Blossom), Violet Staszkow (Ronald), Marie Ng, Isabella Hong (Stephen), and Betsy Hinau.
Her love and devotion for her 34 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great grandchildren; and, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins will be a legacy that will continue for many generations.
While we will miss hearing her beautiful voice and laughter, she has embedded in our hearts the assurance that we will one day be reunited.
Visitation 10:00 to 11:30 am on Sunday (July 24) at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Service 11:30 Casual attire. Private burial.
