KEIJI MUNEMITSU

91, Passed away peacefully Sunday July 17, 2011 at his residence in Costa Mesa. Keiji was born in Lahaina, Maui, HI on May 7, 1920 to Takaichi & Akino Munemitsu.

He was a Graduate of Lahainaluna High School Class of 1936 (Maui, HI) and moved to Costa Mesa, CA in 1970.

Keiji is Survived by his Wife Setsuyo Munemitsu of 49 years, Daughter Lois Munemitsu-Eliason (Craig) and their daughter Emi, Son Keith Munemitsu (Kimberly) and their son Gunnar Kai, and Sister Nancy Gunn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Takaichi & Akino Munemitsu

Keiji will be laid to rest in Lahaina, Maui, HI.

William Adams Grant, Sr.

WILLIAM ADAMS GRANT, SR.

Age 82, passed away peacefully at home on 6/11/11. Born in Hanover, PA, he moved to Hawai’i in 1965 as a city planner for the Oahu Development Conference, later serving as Exec. Director for the Downtown Improvement Assn. until his retirement. He supported the historic preservation of Hawaii’s pre-statehood architecture and was also an early advocate/planner for a fixed rail system on Oahu.

He is survived by wife Janet B. Grant; son Wm. A. Grant, Jr. and his wife Lori K. Grant; daughter Kit Grant and her partner James R. Olson, and cats BB and Tigerface.

Private services at a future date, his ashes and lei to be scattered at Kahala Beach on the ebb tide. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to The Historic Hawai’i Foundation or The Hawaiian Humane Society.

Age 74, of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away July 8, 2011 in Honolulu. Born January 26, 1937 in Vailoa, American Samoa. John retired as a machinist from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Samoa Tokelau Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by wife, Laine Tuia; sons, John (Karen) Tuia, Jr., Talaiafi (Nite) Tuilefano; daughter, Veta Tuilefano; sister, Tui Tuitama; 3 grandchildren.
