Kenneth Kenichi Asato
July 16, 2011 Kenneth Kenichi “Kenchi” Asato, 89, of Pearl City, a retired Holmes & Narver construction foreman and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Aloha Nursing & Rehab Centre. He was born in Lawai, Kauai. He is survived by son Bernard K.; daughters Iona E. Choy and Arleen A. Asato; brothers Sadao “Lawrence,” Kazuo “Norman” and Tatsuo “Daniel”; sister Yukiko “Loretta” Yoshimoto; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Inurnment: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire. Additional information for an obituary published Sunday.
