Takeo Otani, 88, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. government civil service employee on Okinawa and an Army veteran, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Emiko; son Reggie M.; daughters Margie N. Hirama and Karen K. Shinagawa; sisters Masako Wakisaka, Loretta N. Fujiwara and Marjorie S. Yuasa; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Sunday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m.
