73Merrill W. Holmes, 93, of Wai alua died in Waialua. He was born in Stillwater, Minn. He is survived by sons Russell and William, daughters Caroline Holmes Mills and Frances Holmes Jackson, stepsons Jack III and Joel Erwig, stepdaughters Jill Harding and Jane Boatman, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 239 Palii St., Haleiwa. Scattering of ashes to be held in Beaver, Utah.
