James Naomitsu Sakamoto, also known as “Jimmy” and “Sak,” 88, of Pearl City, a retired Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard quarterman and Army veteran and member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in St. Francis Hospice West. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Mitsue, sons Dale N. and Alan M., daughters Lynn K. Cabato and Amy Y. Park, sister Ethel F. and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services at noon. Private inurnment at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire. No flowers.
