Edward Coit, 84, of Hawi, Hawaii, a retired state park supervisor at Lapakahi Historical Park and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Hawi. He is survived by wife Rose, sons Warren and Jonathan, daughter Lisa Minoyama, hanai daughter Danielle Flavin, six grandchildren, two hanai grandchildren and three hanai great-grandchildren. Visitation and celebration of life: 6 p.m. Friday at the Coit residence. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass: 10 a.m. Urn burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire.
