83Leonard Newson Evans Jr., 55, of Waimea, Hawaii, a Hawaii Island Recovery substance abuse counselor and a cowboy, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Santa Barbara, Calif. He is survived by son Joshua; mother Amelia Santella; sisters Mary Bryan, Jeanette Williams and Frances Crabb; hanai brother Wes Kalima; and hanai sister Verna Chartrand. Visitation: 1 p.m. Sunday at Kahilu Town Hall, across Kahilu Theater, Waimea. Services: 3 p.m.
