Age 87, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2011, at St. Francis Hospice. Retired from the State of Hawaii as a cook’s supervisor, he also owned and operated Vee Jay’s Lunchwagon and Vee Jay’s Coffee Shop in Kalihi. He was a member of the Oroku Aza Jin Kai.

“Masa” is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lilly Yuriko, daughters, May Sachi (Gene) Hinazumi, Marilei (Robert) Driggs, sister, Misako Asato of California, grandchildren, Melanie “Meli” Hare, Kimberly (Garrick) Hiranaka, Kristi Ann Driggs, Kelli Ann Ford, Daniel Driggs, and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son, Darryl Kiyoshi.

Service on Saturday (Sept 3) at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation at 2 pm; Service at 3 pm. Casual attire.
