Beloved son, brother and friend, died August 22, 2011, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 37. Ben was a native of Naples, Italy but considered Hawai’I his home. Ben attended Berlin American High School, Berlin Germany; graduated from Lake View High School, San Angelo, Texas; and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed the outdoor life and loved surfing, biking and skateboarding. Ben also had a life-long love of music.
Ben is survived by his mother, Katharine Yurick; father, Francis Yurick; sister, Christina Wayne; and his extended Hawaiian ‘ohana. To honor his love of the ocean, please send donations in Ben’s name to Surfing the Nations, surfingthenations.com.
