Frank Kaheleluli "Beava" Mendiola II, 64, of Hilo, a County of Honolulu refuse worker and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Blanton Mendiola; daughters Danielle and Frances Mendiola and Lovie Mendiola-Shumaker; brothers Yala, Jimmy and Naune Napuunoa; sisters Sharon Fernandez, Eileen Asprer and Charlotte Hammons; former wife Penelope Mendiola; and 10 grandchildren. Services to be held at a later date.
