ELEANOR SIMS RICHARDSON

Eleanor Sims Richardson, 88, of Honolulu, died on September 9, 2011. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University and a Chi Omega Sorority alumna as well as a former Radford High School guidance counselor from 1965 – 1985. Born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, and a resident of Honolulu since 1965. She is survived by her daughter, Marian S. Richardson, four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was a member of The Junior League of Honolulu and The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Hawaii, a society that supports Iolani Palace and Mission Houses Museum. She also supported the Hawaiian Historical Society, Historic Hawaii Foundation, and the Honolulu Academy of Arts. A service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl on September 20 at 10:30 a.m.
