Louis "J" Kaaukai Jr., 74, of Puueopaku, Hawaii, a retired state custodian supervisor and a Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean conflict, died at home. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Lenora K.; sons Louis and Paul L.A.; daughters Lisa A.P. Kaaukai-Cole, Melanie K. Kaaukai and Michelle K. Kaaukai-Perreira; sister Winona Kekela; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Papaikou, Hawaii. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
