Age 92, of Aiea, Hawaii Passed away on August 25, 2011 in Honolulu.

She was born in Watertown – Puuloa, Hawaii and was married to the late Francisco Benito. She worked for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and then for Liberty House.

She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Lei Pablo Espinoza, her 4 grandchildren, Enrico Pablo, Elise (Cal) Pablo Buenconsejo, Angel (Bernice) Pablo, Jr. and Don (Patricia) Patrick Pablo, and 8 great grand children.

Service will be held on Thursday, September 29th, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Aiea. Viewing and visitation at 5:00pm. Service at 6:30pm. Burial will be on Friday, Sept. 30th at the National Memorial Cemetary of the Pacific (Punchbowl Cemetary).

Ethan A. Goble passed away while traveling on business in the Republic of China (Taiwan). Surviving are his parents, C. Jeffrey and Bonnie McGill Goble; brothers Liam N. and Galen C. Goble; grandmother, Ann McGill, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Ethan became an Eagle Scout in Boy Scout Troop 203, Hershey, PA in 1999. He graduated from Hershey High School in 2002 and earned a B.A. degree in political science from Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, PA. Ethan received a Master of International Affairs Degree (Security and Intelligence Studies) in 2008 from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh. After graduation, Ethan began work as a cyber analyst for Target Corporation at the National Cyber-Forensics & Training Alliance in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2010, he began work as an intelligence analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Honolulu, HI. Ethan traveled extensively while with the DIA, and at the time of his passing was proudly serving his nation. Ethan was a lifelong member of the Christian Science Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1st, at 2:00 P.M., at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 East Derry Road, Hershey, PA. In lieu of flowers the family prefer contributions be made to the Ethan A. MICHAEL JOHN LOMBARDO

MICHAEL JOHN LOMBARDO

72, of Honolulu, passed away on September 13, 2011 at home, after nine years of battling colon cancer. He was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on April 25, 1939.

He is survived by his wife, Veronika Lombardo, sons, Michael, Alexander, and Johannes, and grandchildren, Erika, Nicholas, Anna, Tim, Sean, Daniel, and Ross.

Michael graduated from West Point in 1961 and served 24 years in the US Army reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His service included two different combat tours of Vietnam, with the 25th Infantry Division at Cu Chi in 1966-1967, and as military adviser in Sadec from 1970-71. While at Cu Chi, Michael was awarded a Bronze Star.

Michael attended the MA and PhD programs in Chinese history at Georgetown University and entered the Defense Attache program. In 1980, he was posted to the American Consulate in Hong Kong as an attache.

After retiring from the Army in 1986, Michael started a Chinese translation business with some other retirees in Hong Kong. Michael and Veronika moved to Honolulu in 1996, where he setup a local office.

There will be an Inurnment at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific – Punchbowl on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the www.woundedwarrior project.org.
