Age 74, of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away September 15, 2011 in Las Vegas. Born April 11, 1937 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Attendant with Parks and Recreation, Aiea Gym. Campus security with Aiea High School and bus driver with Frank Lam’s Bus Company.

She is survived by husband, William Gamponia, Sr.; son, William (Dawn) Gamponia Jr.; daughters, Rayshelle Gamponia, Willette Gamponia; mother, Mercedes Maria Rabago; sisters, Trinidad Peltier, Bobbie Weatherington; brother, Henry Rabago; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Age 78 of La Vernia, Texas, left this Earth on 26 September 2011. Born 09 March 1933, Barbara spent most of her life on Oahu, Hawaii. Barbara was a family leader of great strength, stamina, courage, optimism, and love. For the last month of her life, Barbara fought the good fight; finished the race, and all the while she kept the faith.

Seven children survive Barbara: Michael Murray, Kathleen Niez, Daniel Murray, Shawn Murray, Matthew Murray, Theresa Murray, and Mary Au. Barbara is also survived by many hanai ohana (you all know who you are), 16 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

For friends wishing to share last moments, Barbara’s ashes will be at St. John Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church in Mililani Town at 09:15am on Friday, 21 October 2011. An informal eulogy will take place from 09:15-10:00am. Promptly at 10:00am that same morning, Father Mooya will bless Barbara’s ashes.

Barbara’s immediate family will be taking her to Waimea Bay, her final resting place on Earth on Saturday morning, 22 October 2011 where Barbara will be joined with her late husband Patrick, her mother Esther, and God.

Age 84, passed away peacefully at home early Friday morning, September 30. She was born in Waikapu, Maui, and graduated from Maui High School and Colorado State College of Education. She received her teaching certificate from the University of Hawaii and was an elementary-school teacher for 29 years, ending her career at Kapalama Elementary School.

Emily is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Donald H. B. Young; children Glenn Young (Merryl), Lorie Young, Bruce Young, and Keith Young (Amy); 5 grandchildren; and sister Lillian Chou.

Viewing (9:15 – 10:15 a.m.) and burial (10:30 a.m.) at Diamond Head Memorial Park; visitation (noon to 1 p.m.) and memorial service (1 p.m.) at the Community Church of Honolulu on Friday, October 14.
