Neil Joseph Amero, Jr.

Neil Joseph Amero, Jr., 87, retired Navy Lt. passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at home in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Born July 1, 1924 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, he was a member of the Pearl City Elks Lodge, FRA Branch 46, American Legion Post 56 Hawaii, and DAV & VFW.

He is survived by wife Mona Ann Amero; son Lance (Janice) Amero; 3 grand-children and 2 great-grandchildren. Also survived by step-sons Clyde Jr., Michael and Andrew (Pene) Hodges; step-daughters Kenny Ann (Peyton) Sarono and Laurie Ann Hodges (Michael Nagao); 17 step-grandchildren and 23 step-great grandchildren.

A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Kaneohe at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life: 1-4 p.m. at 94-415 Uanii Place, Waipahu. Online condolences:
