Neil Joseph Amero, Jr., 87, retired Navy Lt. passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at home in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Born July 1, 1924 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, he was a member of the Pearl City Elks Lodge, FRA Branch 46, American Legion Post 56 Hawaii, and DAV & VFW.

He is survived by wife Mona Ann Amero; son Lance (Janice) Amero; 3 grand-children and 2 great-grandchildren. Also survived by step-sons Clyde Jr., Michael and Andrew (Pene) Hodges; step-daughters Kenny Ann (Peyton) Sarono and Laurie Ann Hodges (Michael Nagao); 17 step-grandchildren and 23 step-great grandchildren.
